Vehicle Sync Allows Data Transmission between Vehicles
A component of Trimble’s Connected Farm™, Farm Works Vehicle Sync provides real-time wireless data transmission between multiple vehicles. A simple unlock allows vehicles to share guidance lines, coverage mapping, point, area and line features. Users with vehicles that are equipped with an FmX® display as well as a DCM-300 Modem (with the Vehicle Sync unlock) can see vehicle icons of the other operating units within a field that have the same setup. Data sharing in real time eliminates the need of a USB stick to move data from unit to unit.
Vehicle Sync improves efficiency and accuracy. With real time data communication, over use of seed or other inputs would be eliminated when you have more than one operator in a field. Reduce fuel usage and simplify communication between grain carts and combines.
Features:
- Supports up to 5 vehicles within a distance of 325 yards
- Multiple users can share coverage maps (Trimble Field-IQ crop input control system and Tru count clutches required) to minimize overlap
- Operators can view other vehicles positions in the same field on an FmX display
- Share A/B guidance lines as well as point, line and area features between vehicles
- No need of a USB flash drive to move data between units

*Data transfer with Farm Works Mobile does not require a DCM-300 Modem or $600 data plan. Using a wireless Wi-Fi connection for data transfer is possible for short distances or a data plan can be purchased from a local cellular provider to transfer data long distances.
** The DCM-300 modem and $600/yr. data plan can work with any third party correction service that utilizes CMR or CMR+ formats. This includes CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Stations), state run RTK networks and other non-Trimble solutions.
